As part of our work with the local community, we took part in Radio Border’s Cash for Kids Christmas campaign, Mission Christmas, an official charity promotion which aired on the network.
Listeners were asked to buy just one extra present – a gift that was given to a disadvantaged child to make their Christmas morning that little bit brighter.
Cash for Kids provides a helping hand to disabled and disadvantaged children around the Scottish Borders and Northumberland.
Their annual campaigns aim to raise thousands of pounds to make available in grants to children’s charities, individuals and many other worthwhile causes throughout the region.
Placing a focus on the local area, all money raised goes to children and young people under 18 throughout the region, with mental, physical or sensory disability, with behavioural or psychological disorders, living in poverty or situations of deprivation, suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.
Over the years we have lent our support to the campaigns through various different fundraising drives.
Our staff took part in an international themed dressing up day last year, donning fancy dress costumes based on different countries around the world.
The team also lent their support to the autumn campaign, ‘Coats for Kids’, providing winter clothing for children in the Borders region.
As proud supporters of Radio Border’s Cash for Kids campaign we’d encourage everyone to give generously and back this excellent cause.
